A large open-air cinema of about a thousand seats, in one of the city’s most evocative locations, the Parco degli Acquedotti (Via Lemonia, corner of Via Appio Claudio), the setting for memorable works such as La dolce vita by Federico Fellini and La grande bellezza by Paolo Sorrentino.
Every evening, from 9.15 pm, one or two great classics of film history are screened, introduced by guests such as: Giuseppe Tornatore, Nanni Moretti, Gianni Amelio, Dario Argento, Anna Foglietta, Gianfranco Rosi, Enrico Vanzina, Riccardo Scamarcio, the Manetti Bros., Francesco Munzi and Emanuele Salce

THE PROGRAMME
A selection of works that have made the history of Italian and international cinema restored to their original splendour.
One hundred years after their birth, Ugo Tognazzi, Vittorio Gassman, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Francesco Rosi and Luciano Salce are celebrated, alongside a special tribute to Gigi Proietti, who passed away in 2020. Films by masters such as Billy Wilder, Jane Campion, Joel and Ethan Coen, Dario Argento, Nanni Moretti and Paolo Virzì up to cult movies loved by audiences all over the world. Some unforgettable artistic partnerships are also celebrated, such as those between Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone and between Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni. An evening dedicated to cinema and theatre by Flavia Mastrella and Antonio Rezza and a tribute to Renato Nicolini, creator of the Estate Romana, complete the programme.
