After the success of the last edition, from 3 to 10 July the ‘Appia Antica Chamber Music Festival’ returns with eight days of masterclasses, seminars and concerts dedicated to the most beautiful pages of chamber music, jazz and contemporary music.
A festival dedicated above all to young talents. Thanks to the collaboration with the Avos Project Academy, master classes will be held with the best musicians on the classical scene, offering a highly prestigious training course. Thus, the daytime part will be dedicated to training, while the evening part will be dedicated to performances, in which the students will experience playing live with the greatest soloists of international renown. The concerts will be dedicated to the most beautiful pages of the chamber music repertoire for piano, reviewing composers such as: Beethoven, Brahms, Bartok, Kreisler, Schumann, Piazzolla, Dvorak and Boccherini. Among the great protagonists expected: Mario Montore (piano), David Romano (violin), Riccardo Savinelli (viola), Diego Romano (cello), Massimo Ceccarelli (double bass), Cesare Chiacchiaretta (bandoneon)
An innovative chamber music festival.
Two days will be open to contamination with the seminar + jazz concert by Roberto Gatto ImperfecTrio and the presentation of the new disc by the Sentieri Selvaggi ensemble and composer Emanuele de Raymondi.
The initiative is part of the Musitaly project, conceived by Promu itself with the aim of enhancing cultural venues through quality live performances, contributing to the relaunch of the entire music sector, which has been severely hit by the pandemic crisis. The project has confirmed and renewed – also for the summer of 2022 – the patronage of the European Parliament, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Youth Policies.
Appia Antica Chamber Music Festival was organised with the collaboration of the Appia Antica Regional Park Authority.
