A Dull Set (UK)
A Dull Set are Prague-based duo Sam and Hayden born either side of the UK’s North/South divide. Exploring the dark fissure between Post-Punk and Cold Wave unsung 80s music such as The Lines and Sad Lovers & Giants form their modern take on one of music history’s most important decades: whilst their sound and songwriting has often been compared to The Cure’s earliest albums.

Live synths 8-bit samples searing guitar riffs and uptempo drums. Some well-seasoned musicians joined forces in 2017 to realise the dream of a lowly Brummie of playing live synth-based tunes without the use of sequencers and loops. Throw in live drums guitar and a splattering of vocals and this is the result of that experiment. Influences include Joy Division The Pixies Yann Tiersen Múm Chemical Brothers and Slowdive.
ROYE (IN/US)
ROYE is based out of Prague Czech Republic. Originally formed by Indian musician Rajarshi Roy (vocals/guitar) as a solo project writing material based on influences of the late 80s and early 90s the full band took shape in 2022 with the addition of Nick Jennings (drums) and Cooney Kirby (bass) both from the US. Together the trio have developed a unique blend of dreamy melodic expression combined with fierce face-melting fuzzy noise rock that will both blow you out of the water and make you sink to the bottom of the ocean. You have been warned.
