1. Theatre Night in Prague

Like every year, the Night of Theatres in Prague takes place on the third Saturday 18th of November and this year it celebrates its 11th year! Join the festival, which will once again offer free or symbolically priced tours, theatre workshops, discussions with theatre directors and a large selection of various performances. This year’s theme is “Burning” and visitors will have the opportunity to see the characters of the plays as well as the theatre work and its behind-the-scenes work. There will also be current social issues that the theatre scene reflects.

2. Antique Fair in Prague

The 49th edition of the most popular and largest exhibition of antiques in the Czech Republic returns to Prague at the New Town Hall! In its autumn version, from 23 to 26 November, you can look forward to the best and most varied offers from jewellery, glass, porcelain and ceramics to antique furniture, textiles, historical weapons and old banknotes and coins. The motto of the fair this time is “Family Silver”.

3. MINT Market

The last weekend of November, from Friday 24 to Saturday 25 November, will bring the Prague MINT Market! You will have the opportunity to buy beautiful gifts from creators and designers not only from the Czech Republic but also from Slovakia and Ukraine. As always, you can look forward to a wide range of lovingly made handbags, handmade jewelry, organic cosmetics, candles, original stationery, macramé, porcelain, toys for children and much more.

4. Karlín street food festival

If you are a food lover or just want to taste new things, don’t forget to come to Karlínské náměstí on 5 November. At this year’s last edition of the Karlín Street Food Festival you will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of street food specialties. This time, the organizers will introduce you to Armenian cuisine and culture, which will surely impress and surprise you with its variety and taste. The event is suitable for families with children, for whom many attractions are prepared.

5. Concert for the future

On 17 November, Wenceslas Square will host live music by well-known performers and speeches by public figures! The Concert for the Future is an annual commemoration of the legacy of the Velvet Revolution that takes place in the very centre of the Czech capital. Among the artists who will perform here, we can find Igor Orozovic, Aneta Langerova, the bands Buty, Dunaj and Adam Pavlovchin alias ADONXS.

6. St. Martin’s Day lantern parade

This event for the whole family is being held to celebrate St. Martin’s Day and will be packed full of activities to keep the kids entertained for the day! The lantern parade will take place on 11 November in the Vltavany area (Prague 4). Your children can enjoy art workshops, sports activities, theatre, a lantern parade to the river and a festive meeting with St. Martin. As you need to register for this event in advance, don’t hesitate to do so as soon as possible!

7. French Film Fest

Enjoy the best selection of French films in November in Prague! The 26th edition of the French Film Festival will take place at various venues in Prague from 23 to 29 November. You can look forward to new releases in preview, French classics, short films and new releases from various film festivals held in Toronto, Cannes or Venice. The festival will conclude with a tribute to the classic French New Wave filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard with five key films from his oeuvre and a new documentary Godard on Godard by Florence Platarets.

8. Pork Fest

This November, the Pork and Goose Feast will return to the Smíchov Embankment to conclude this year’s season of gastrofestivals. The first weekend of the month will offer a varied selection of meat that will attract all meat lovers! You will have the opportunity to taste, for example, specialties from smokehouses such as sausages, sausage rolls or smoked ham, classic meat specialties, but also those that originate in other countries, such as Hungarian mangalitsa, Italian prosciutto, Spanish salchichon and Iberian ham. In addition, as it is St Martin’s Day season, goose and all the corresponding specialities will be on offer. Enjoy!

9. Prague Sounds

From 11 to 18 November you will have the opportunity to attend the Prague Sounds Festival (also known as the Strings Festival), where you can experience a wide range of musical genres, music premieres, concerts and much more. If you’re interested in specific names, there will be Owen Pallett, British electronic wizard Nathan Fake, rising star of the British hip hop scene Kofi Stone, as well as local band Bert & Friends with their unconventional piano songs and many other performers who will definitely guarantee a true artistic experience!

10. Winter Wonderland Prague

Wondering where to go with your kids in your city? From 4 November, you have a unique opportunity to take them to a winter fairyland that will definitely captivate children and maybe even adults! Come to Europe’s largest light theme park in Prague’s Letňany and enjoy spectacular light installations, interactive attractions and entertainment. You will meet Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, the Lion Kingdom and many more. See for yourself!
