Run the forests Klínovec

On July 12, 2025, the Klínovec Ski Resort in the picturesque Ore Mountains will turn into a jungle of runners for the trail running celebration Běhej lesy Klínovec 2025.

Runners can choose from three mostly downhill courses (23 km, 11 km, and 6 km), all starting underneath the chairlift with a group ride up to the summit (1,244 m a.s.l.) and finishing back down in the resort. The race takes place on a single day – Saturday, July 12. Online registration ends on July 9, but capacity is limited and fills up quickly, so don’t delay!

Trail Running Feast with Views of Bohemia and Saxony
After a short cabin ride to the top, get ready for a fast-paced descent along forest trails and gravel paths, offering panoramic views of Boží Dar, Jáchymov, and the hills across the Saxon border. Although the routes are mainly downhill, don’t be fooled – the 23 km course climbs 607 m and descends 868 m, the 11 km gains 219 m and drops 458 m, and the PENNY Run 6 km includes +66/-308 m of elevation. Your thighs will definitely feel it.

Sprinting for Tires and Finish Line Prizes
Both longer races feature the Conti Speed Section – a 150 m sprint where the fastest man and woman each win a CZK 5,000 Continental tire voucher and a special jersey.
All adult runners will also compete in the Generali Investments Finish – a final 500 m sprint. The absolute winner will take home a functional Craft race jersey.

A Day Out for Families and UTMB Point Collectors
Children under 15 can compete in the Dr. Max Kids’ Races (100 m to 1 km), starting at 9:30, with medals, a raffle, and warm-up hosted by Radio Junior presenters.
The 23 km race is registered as a UTMB Index Race, allowing runners to collect points for the global trail running ranking.

Services and Eco Approach
Entry includes a personalized chip bib, aid stations (first 250 runners get a PENCO Speedcup), bag storage, showers, photos, and a downloadable diploma.
Please bring your own collapsible cup – disposable ones are not available at the aid stations in the forest.

Practical Tips
Registration & Bib Pick-Up: Friday (July 11) from 18:00–20:00 and Saturday (July 12) from 08:00. Bibs must be picked up at least 30 minutes before your start.
Transport: The venue is located at the upper station of the Prima Express chairlift (Loučná pod Klínovcem). Free parking is available at large-capacity lots P1 and P3.
Accommodation: Book early in the surrounding towns such as Boží Dar or Jáchymov. Partner guesthouses are listed on the organizer’s website.
