Antony Gormley and Pavla Melková Exhibition

The Galerie Rudolfinum is hosting a unique artistic dialogue between British sculptor Antony Gormley and Czech architect and poet Pavla Melková, running until January 5, 2025.

The exhibition, combining spatial installations, sculptures, drawings, and poetic texts, explores our perception of the environment and how we interact with and respond to the spaces around us.

Gormley, renowned for his ability to transform space with evocative installations and sculptures, and Melková, who brings her architectural expertise and poetic perspective, collaborate to create works that activate both physical and inner spaces. The exhibition is designed as a platform for deeper reflection on sensory perception.

This project builds on their previous dialogue, initiated in Prague and culminating in the publication Gravitational Field of the Unspeakable (KANT, 2022). Gormley and Melková now return to the city where their collaboration began to further explore how we interact with spaces and objects in our surroundings.

The exhibition offers a unique blend of visual art and poetry, immersing visitors in a world where architecture, perception, and creativity intersect. Gormley’s monumental works paired with Melková’s thoughtful reflections on the environment create a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed.
