About the Band:

Kabát is a popular Czech rock band formed in 1983 in Teplice. Originally a metal band, they transitioned over time to a rock style with elements of hard rock and heavy metal. Known for their catchy melodies, high-energy performances, and humorous lyrics, Kabát often reflects Czech society, culture, and the “ordinary person’s” lifestyle.

Some of Kabát’s biggest hits include songs like Dole v dole, Žízeň, Malá dáma, and Burlaci. Many of their songs carry a touch of Czech folklore, adapted into a modern rock arrangement. Kabát regularly fills sports arenas and stadiums across the Czech Republic, drawing huge crowds to their concerts.

The band has won numerous awards, including several Anděl awards and the Czech Slavíks, often securing top spots. Kabát even represented the Czech Republic internationally at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with the song Malá dáma.
