Light Art Exhibition the Red Pill

From September 13th to October 16th, 2024, the Trafo Gallery in Prague will host the exhibition *The Red Pill*, offering visitors a chance to look beyond illusions through the medium of light art.

The exhibition is inspired by the iconic scene from *The Matrix*, where the main character Neo chooses between the blue and red pills. The red pill, symbolizing the challenge of gaining knowledge and taking an active stance, represents the artists who use light as a tool to overcome illusions and seek truth.

The exhibition will feature works by renowned artists such as Jiří Suchánek, Pavel Korbička, Karim Tarakji, Ivo Louda, Richard Loskot, Michal Pustějovský, Petr Pufler, and Tereza Severová. These artists work with light in various ways—as a technique, meaning, and symbol—and their creations explore themes of space, movement, sound, and illusion. The exhibition provides a unique perspective on the world through light-based artworks that connect physical orders, mathematical algorithms, and constructivist tendencies in Czech art.

Located in Prague’s Holešovice Market, Trafo Gallery is known for its focus on contemporary art and unconventional exhibitions that explore the relationships between technology and artistic expression.
