Tour of the open-air museum Řepora

Don’t Miss the Exclusive Tour of the Former Medieval Open-Air Museum Řepora, Now Closed to the Public, on August 31st! With Praha Neznámá, you now have the chance to explore this mysterious site and delve into its history and current state.

During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to compare Řepora’s original appearance before the devastating fires with the current efforts of enthusiasts striving to save and restore what they can. Local volunteers, dressed in historical costumes, will welcome you and share their experiences and stories about the museum’s history. A fascinating part of the program will also include discussions about the films shot here, as Řepora is a well-known film location.

The walk will also take you through the surrounding nature, rich in water features, ponds, and wetlands. You’ll have the chance to stroll along boardwalks and admire the local wildlife, including the marsh crayfish, various fish species, pond mussels, many bird species, and even 160 species of butterflies. Along the way, you’ll also learn about the history of the nearby brickworks, which is closely connected to this site.

Practical Information:

Meeting point: Ferrariho bus stop (heading from the city center) after the arrival of bus no. 418, which departs from Stodůlky at 15:10. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and ends back at the Ferrariho bus stop, within walking distance of the Stodůlky metro station. Your guide, Petr Ryska, will lead you through the area and ensure you have an unforgettable experience. The entrance fee includes access to the site, including the opportunity to admire the locals’ historical costumes. Children under 12 years old can attend for free, but tickets cannot be purchased on-site. Please note that the terrain is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
