Come from 25 November until 31 December to Chateau area Ctěnice, where you can enjoy a unique experience in the run-up to Christmas – light decorations, lighting of the Christmas tree or a concert by the Musica Bohemica ensemble. Simply, come and be excited for the upcoming Christmas period.
The large light installations that will light up the entire Chateau area will be accessible during visiting hours for free.

Let’s Light up Ctěnice and Christmas concert of children’s choirs Broučci and Kamarádi, from 5 p.m. Christmas concert of the chamber ensemble Musica Bohemica
Come together to light the Christmas tree. Carols will be sung by the children’s choirs Broučci and Kamarádi under the direction of choirmasters Michaela Šírová and Veronika Dvořáčková Žofáková.
A Christmas concert by the chamber ensemble Musica Bohemica will complete the atmosphere. Tickets from 150 to 250 CZK can be purchased at the castle box office or in the museum’s e-shop.
Ctěnická Advent Afternoon
Every Saturday of Advent from 13.00 to 18.00 we prepare family afternoons where you can come and create various Advent trinkets together. A ticket to the Advent afternoon is also valid as a ticket to the permanent exhibition.

On the first Saturday of Advent they will teach you how to make Christmas candlesticks under the guidance of SOŠ JAROV, you will have the opportunity to buy Advent wreaths or watch a demonstration of Christmas floristry. You can also look forward to art in the Chateau Laboratory.

Try your hand at Christmas Plandani with artist Dana Lindenthal, make original Christmas cards, wire Christmas ornaments, visit the ceramics and floral workshop and our traditional Chateau Lab.
16 December Glass Christmas
The last Saturday of Advent takes us into the secrets of glass crafts. You will try your hand at stringing glass beads with jewellery designer Adéla Kodoňová, how to thread a glass bead on a glass blower or how to engrave your own picture in glass. The chateau laboratory will traditionally offer a thematic art workshop.
