Summer Festival of the World Cultures in Prague

You are welcomed to come on Saturday 22 June to the “Festival of the World Cultures” in Prague which is going to be co-organised with the National Museum. This event aims to celebrate the multicultural diversity of the city by showcasing different carnivals from around the world.

The event will also feature various interactive activities, including carnival mask-making, dance lessons, and food and drinks from all around the world. Visitors will have the chance to learn about the cultural significance of different carnival traditions from around the world, including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Venice, and many more.

This event is a celebration of multiculturalism and a reminder of the power of diversity in our communities. So come join us and experience the joy and excitement of the world’s greatest carnivals, right here in Prague!

10:00: Start of the event
All day:
International street food & Zichovec craft beer
Market offering unique handmade products, art, jewelry and clothing.
Kids Zone: face painting and activities for children of all ages.
11:00: Yoga in the Dorado Coffee Garden
Start your day with mindful yoga. The event is suitable for everyone, led by Jazmin Prado.
15:30 Latin dance workshop with Zulay
16:30 Dance workshop of Afro-Caribbean dance from Nicaragua, as well as Belize, Bay Islands in Honduras and Bocas del Toro in Panama, called Palo de Mayo. It is led by Miguel Mendez.
17:00 Etnodanza: Immerse yourself in new rhythms that combine traditional Latin American sounds in a workshop led by Victoriaconalas, a Colombian dancer, singer and anthropologist.
18:00: Live music: PRAGASON, a Cuban music group that will make you dance to the rhythms of mambo, bolero and chacha
20:30 DJ Cesar Chunk
