Tap room under the chimney

Come and celebrate this year’s tenth anniversary year of the Czech Beer Days at the traditional event Výčep pod komínem (Tavern under the Chimney), which will take place on 15 September from 5 pm. Experienced tappers will be tapping the perfectly treated new Staropramen 12, and participants will also be able to vote for the best beer from three special vases. They will thus become the brewer’s advisors for a few hours and will be able to choose the best of the brewed samples.

For the tenth time this year, the Days of Czech Beer event will take place, celebrating not only our national drink but also Czech beer culture. Traditionally, the Staropramen brewery has also joined in the celebration of the golden beverage, and on Thursday 15 September it will open its doors to the public at the popular event Výčep pod komínem (Tavern under the Chimney). There will be no shortage of well-treated beer, refreshments or musical accompaniment.

“Visitors will be given a voting card at the entrance with which they will be able to choose their favourite and thus vote for the most popular beer of Výčep pod komínem,” says Adéla Škodová, brand manager of Staropramen, about the popular event. In addition, this year’s novelty – Staropramen 12 with an improved recipe – will be on tap. “Our new 12 has already found its fans and we are looking forward to even more people being able to taste it at Výčep pod komínem,” says Jan Špaček, Staropramen’s head brewer and author of the new recipe.
