1. Rysy

One of the highest peaks of the High Tatras, accessible without a certified mountain guide. The journey begins at Štrbské pleso from which you can expect quite challenging five-hour climb ( don‘t forget it is another 5 hours to get back) The reward will be unforgettable views, sometimes adrenaline path with an elevation of 1300 meters and refreshments in the chalet Pod Rysmi which has the highest elevation within the chalets in the High Tatras.

2. Lomnický Peak

For comfy seeking tourists who do not want to strain and are willing to pay extra cash, there is a possibility to take the cableway to the very top of the second highest peak of the High Tatras. The starting point is in Tatranská Lomnica, from where you jump into cableway to Skalnaté pleso, where you change to another one which will take you to the very top of Lomnický peak. You can expect not only exceptional views but a refreshment at Dedo restaurant and café.

3. Gerlachovský Peak

The highest peak of the High Tatras. The ascent starts from Hotel Sliezky dom at an altitude of 1670 meters, and it is the journey you will never forget. Be ready for amazing views, iron cross and an amazing feeling that you are on the highest peak not only of the High Tatras but of the whole Carpathians. The trail is not accessible to tourists, so to get to the top you need a certified mountain guide. The good news is that you can climb the peak all year round depending on the weather.

4. Štrbské lake

One of the most popular tourist sites in the High Tatras. It offers everything for perfect relaxation, whether for undemanding holidaymakers or for lovers of luxury. The historical Kempinsky hotel is located directly on the shore of the lake. Location Strbske pleso offers a wide range of activities, which our smallest one will appreciate as well. Examples include rowing, children’s playgrounds, horse riding or easy hikes nearby.

5. Green lake

Very popular, quite easy, but rather lengthy hike to one of the most beautiful tarns in the High Tatras. It takes approximately 6 hours. Near the tarn, there is a mountain cottage, which offers a restaurant and accommodation facilities. The good news is that it is open all year round and the ascent can be a pleasant variation to skiing are cross-country skiing. For those who consider themselves strong, there is a possibility to continue to ascend to the top of the Lambs peak, which is the easternmost summit of the High Tatras and offers wonderful views.

6. Kriváň

Something for patriots. The most photogenic peak of the High Tatras and one of the symbols of the Slovak nation. Climbing to Krivan peak is possible from Tri studnicky point or from Strbske Pleso. The view from the top is considered one of the most beautiful in the High Tatras. It should be noted that this tour is quite challenging.

7. Zakopané

A town situated on the Polish side of the High Tatras, which is definitely worth seeing. It will surprise you with its unusual beauty and many activities it offers. 9. Tricklandia

Something especially for kids and lovers of unusual photos :), a place where you have a unique opportunity to wander through Slovakia in the gallery of trick-art and optical illusions. On its premises, you will find themes of Slovak folk tales, fairy tales, as well as realities of villages and castles of Slovakia (eg Vlkolinec, Dunajec, Bojnice Castle and others). It is spread over an area of 500 m2 with 24 attractions. They contain 15 trick-art paintings, augmented reality, anti-gravity rooms, and the most beautiful mirror maze in Central Europe.

10. Gašperov mlyn

For real gourmets, there is a restaurant that meets even the highest expectations. The intimate atmosphere and food prepared from the finest mostly local ingredients, complemented by quality wines from Slovak producers or the noble Slovak spirits guarantee an exceptional experience.
