Wine. Something appreciated and enjoyed by most of us. Viniculture is tightly connected to Bratislava and the western parts of Slovakia for a significant period of time, going through its ups and downs. In the 19th century, Europe was changing and the wine business was evolving, too. Progressive and innovative ideas were changing our world, clearing the way for establishing big companies focused on wine production. In 1825 Johann Fischer and Michael Schönbauer founded the first company producing sparkling wine outside of France. This is their story.
