Netflix and chill. But there is just something about cinemas we cannot recreate in our homes. Take your friends (or date) and go have some (public) fun before Christmas duties catch you – you totally deserve some time off. Here you can find tips for great movies.
1. 100% Wolf
Our first tip is an animated movie well suited for some family time – Freddy is a werewolf and his first transformation is approaching. He is supposed to be the next leader, as his father was, but something went wrong and he transforms into…. a poodle? A lot of fun, not only just for your little ones.
2. Corpus Christi
Something more serious – David is a boy with a troubled past. During his time spent in a penal institution, his heart changes for the better and he desires to become a priest, something officially impossible to do with his criminal record. But he finds a town where nobody knows and by the stroke of luck, everybody considers him to be a priest already…. can he help the town and at what cost?
3. Diego Maradonna
For better and worse, this man was and still is a legend. He achieved the impossible, but his fame came at a price – the need to hide his true face, to get destroyed by endless parties, drugs and mafia… controversial but well-loved, dead but still alive in minds of many, complex human being with complex fate. Let´s look a little closer.
4. La Traviata
Lifestream of opera from Barcelona – the singers and Vivaldi´s music which will just move your heart. A story of a concubine who found her love just to lose it shortly after is a theme that just never gets old.
5. Pinocchio
This is just a classic we truly do not need to introduce. The only information needed is that this is a remake and it was filmed in Italy – let´s see if it does justice to the story so dear to many of us.
6. Retainers
Year of 1980. Michal and Juraj are studying as priests during totality in Czechoslovakia. Their university is trying to form them to be seen as harmless by the regime. Will those two chose an easier path or the one which is morally right?
7. Princess cursed by time
The Czech fairy tale. Elena is a princess cursed by witch Murien to revive the day of her twentieth birthday over and over again. Will Elena find a way to save herself and her kingdom?
8. The perfect secret
Comedy created by guys responsible for Fukjú, professor. A bunch of friends gather around one table for a meal with an idea – let´s share messages and calls on their mobile during the dinner. Messages read aloud, same for calls… it seems like a lot of fun but soon they will realize that there are many embarrassing secrets between them… will couples around the table survive such a test?
9. Wonder Woman 1984
Iconic Gal Gadot as a Wonder woman fights the devil (Max Lord and Gepardici) in the 80s. A lot of action, great music (Hans Zimmer, really) – a great idea for everyone, not just comix lovers.
