Sara Parkman is coming back to Stockholm after nearly 3 years. Her music has been made known to entire world and now she´s coming back to bless Stockholm with her mesmerising music yet again. Mixing modern and folk music has shaped her life and she´s ready to show you what progress she has made.

Sara Parkman is the folk musician who has questioned and embraced traditions so unabashedly and thoughtfully that she has created her own musical universe – and in doing so has become the great poster child of contemporary Swedish folk music. After three acclaimed solo albums, it is now as natural to hear her music pulsating out over the mist in the forest on a summer’s night as it is to see her perform it live on popular television programmes.

When her latest album “Eros Agape Philia” was released in October, it was met with rave reviews. Nöjesguiden gave it its highest rating and wrote: “It’s folky, mysterious, powerful and modern.” Gaffa wrote: “A much-needed counterbalance to those who think folk music belongs in a museum of local history.” And the album has been at the top of DN’s album chart for no less than five weeks.

Over the years, Sara Parkman has won several awards at the Folk and World Music Gala, the Dagens Nyheter Culture Prize and – as at the Manifest Gala earlier this year – the best live act of the year.

This autumn Sara Parkman has played to sold-out concert halls, clubs and theatres, and this spring her triumphal procession continues with several stops in the country. Tickets are on sale!
