Francesco Castelli was one of the most famous Baroque builders and was an important Italian architect. In general, everyone knows him by his stage name Francesco Borromini. He lived in the 17th century and belonged to the guild of freemasons. Throughout his life he was guided by the motto: “secretly exhibit and demonstrate silently”.
Historians who examine his works believe that the peculiarities that are part of his works reflect his vast knowledge. His works also hide many occult symbols. His works are full of various squares, circles and other decorations that hide esoteric references.
The journey during which the esoteric mysteries that Borromini left will appear will begin in San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini, to which the artist has collaborated. It will then continue along the ancient Via Giulia to Palazzo Falconieri and the narrow streets of the Rione Regola. The next stop will be the ancient Papalis road and finally, the journey ends in Piazza dell’Orologio.
