Lake Jazz Orchestra

Lake Jazz Orchestra in concert at the Cotton Club – The Lake Jazz Orchestra returns to the Cotton Club. It was born in October 2010 from an idea by Luca Rizzo. The staff is that of a traditional big band made up of a section of five saxes, five trumpets, four trombones, a voice and a rhythmic section made up of piano, double bass guitar and drums.

The first “Mission Impossible” CD released in 2012 was followed by more than thirty concerts. Sergio Vitale, Enzo De Rosa, Claudio Corvini, Tiziano Ruggeri, Marco Rovinelli, Francesco Lento and Antonio Padovano have collaborated and played with the big band.

Subsequently, the Lake Jazz Orchestra made two other CDs: “So Big …” and “Live at Marcigliana”. The latest work “Strike up the band” is entirely dedicated to the arrangements of Sammy Nestico, one of the greatest arrangers for Big bands. A project born two years and which had the pleasure of hosting one of the greatest Italian soloists: Max Jonata.
