Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Convergence Festival this fall. The international festival of chamber music of the Convergence, which its founder and artistic director, cellist Jozef Lupták named after the cult album of Collegium musicum by Marián Varga, will celebrate two decades of its existence this autumn. During that time, the super-genre event, whose focus remains chamber music performed by renowned domestic and foreign performers, has become one of the stars of Bratislava’s musical life, one of the most important events of classical music in Slovakia. Convergence differs from other festivals by “tailor-made dramaturgy”, which provides space for cooperation of domestic and foreign artists and presents lesser-known works, but also large classical opuses in surprising and new contexts.
