8. Neukölln Country & Folk Festival

On a late summer day in September, a variety of bands will meet here at the Gutshof for the eighth time as part of the Neuköllner Country and Folk Fest. The 21 solo artists and bands play a mix from noon until late in the evening that has a lot to offer fans of this diverse genre. In addition to proven classic Country Styles, there are avant-garde folk bands, good old Americana music, South American sounds to classical music from the Arab world. As typical representatives of the country scene are u.a. Happy Hill Grasscutters, Format Next, … And Friends Berlin and Heinrich ‘Doc’ Wolf. In addition, there will be some bands that take the term “country and folk” a bit further: The formation Di Grine Kuzine will inspire with fiery Gypsy sounds to dance, the Flintstones Big Band in large cast sound-rich come up and the Kurdish band Adir Jan with her mix of traditional music and progressive rock and more with texts in German language so many musical boundaries.
