Perturbator is the sound that would have emerged if the pastel-coloured synth wave of the 80s had been hurled straight into a dystopian chaotic future. In the deep shadows rest indescribable horrors, the adrenaline level is heightened, the atmosphere has an ominous taste.

Since 2012’s self-released EP “Night Driving Avenger” and the full-length “Terror 404”, Perturbator has moved from the small clubs to occupy big festivals like Hellfest, Download and Graspop. The masterful album “New Model” went straight to number seven on the US Billboard electronic chart and in 2019 Perturbator crowned the year by playing in front of an unimaginable 500,000 people at the Pol’and’Rock Festival. Along the way, he’s also collaborated with electronic giant Jean-Michel Jarre as well as Swedish metal favourites Cult of Luna.

Musically, Perturbator moves seamlessly between Nine Inch Nails’ evocative haze, compatriot Kavinsky’s urban swing and Vangelis’ dramatic shimmer. And the result is devastatingly good.

When Perturbator arrives in October 2022, he’ll be bringing along experimental noiserock band Health and American industrial metal act Author & Punisher. In other words, it’s going to be a really heavy all-nighter.
