After the successes of the Roman Domus at Palazzo Valentini and the Forum of Augustus and Caesar, the physicist and science writer Paco Lanciano conceived and created “Welcome To Rome”, the most fascinating and surprising interactive show dedicated to Rome and its millenary history.
At “Welcome To Rome” you will immerse yourself in the history of this wonderful city and experience an exciting and engaging experience. In fact, visiting Welcome To Rome means taking a real journey through time and space.
A journey in which you will witness a particular multi-projection: walls and ceilings will come alive around you while on the ground a large model of the city will light up to show the evolution of Rome over the centuries.
This immersive projection will tell you 2700 years of the history of Rome in 27 minutes, through the eras that built the identity of the eternal city. You will have the illusion of flying over the city over the centuries, moving into monuments, palaces, churches and squares.
To complete the visit you can activate 4 large interactive models that will allow you to re-discover the history of some exceptional masterpieces: the Imperial Forums, the Forum of Augustus, the Mausoleum of Hadrian and the Basilica of Saint Peter.
Spectacular projections and animated models will make you perform a unique and exciting experience and experience first-hand the evolution of this extraordinary city.
The show takes place inside the former Augustus Cinema, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 203. The projection and the interactive exhibits, also accessible to the disabled, follow one another continuously, from morning to evening. You will be accompanied by an audio guide available in 8 different languages: Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
