What might happen if an American and a British musician meet at a London train station in 2009? For example, Still Corners, the dreampop / synthpop formation that now boasts four albums, is the foundation. The music of Tessa Murray and Greg Hughes took a form worthy of the story: we loved them from a window into a distant, traveling song that draws from the synthpop of the 1980s, Vangelis and Enrio Morricone. Their latest album, Slow Air’s ethereal atmosphere, freshness and warmth, served as an inspiration to the West Coast – recalled on May 8th on the A38 Ship’s Roof Terrace.
