Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May 2019, from 10 am to 6 pm, we are waiting for you at the Parco dell’Antico Acquedotto, in Via Appia Nuova 1280 (Capannelle), for the second edition of the Rome Artichoke Festival!
The protagonists of this gigantic outing on the outskirts of Rome are the Sezze, Romanesque artichokes and finally the organic cultivated by the New Agriculture Cooperative of Decima-Malafede; to enhance the Roman and Lazio countryside and its products.
From the starter to the digestive, our cooks and restaurateurs will prepare a rich menu:
A rich ARTICHOKE based menu but not only, on our well-kept and relaxing pratone it will be possible to taste also the classic first Romans, the Arrosticini of sheep IGP Abruzzo, taste of the excellent craft beer and of the red wine of Montepulciano of the winery of Lanciano.
All accompanied by the good craft beer of the Anbra di Fossa (AQ) brewery and the excellent wine from the Ferrante winery in Lanciano (CH).
For those who do not want to try the menu of the festival, will be able to taste other valid alternatives, always cooked on the spot and with raw materials of excellent quality, such as the Tonnarelli all’amatriciana, dishes based on organic cheeses, the Squid and Shrimp Fries of mobile friggitoria of Tony and Noemi, the Arrosticini di pecora from Abruzzo IGP.
To delight the palate will be the pastry chefs of the Mitirosù artisan laboratory who will present you with a vast selection of fresh and express sweets made on the spot, from the Timamisù variants to the cakes and tarts single portion with berries, visciole, ricotta and chocolate and ricotta and sour cherries.
The Antico Acquedotto park is one of the most beautiful, charming and welcoming places in the Capital, cared for and equipped with hygienic services, ample parking with over 1000 parking spaces, games for children, soccer fields, possibility to visit the farm and animals through a nice train, finally available for hire bikes for a fee.
