After the concert on October 23 in the Vienna Gasometer was sold out completely, George Ezra has now good news for all fans who have gone out empty handed: already in May 2019, the British singer/songwriter comes back to the city!
Short flashback to 2014: His surprise hit „Budapest“ made George Ezra the shooting star of the year overnight, followed by his debut album „Wanted On Voyage“, which ranks number one in the British charts, receives 4-platinum and sells more than three million times worldwide. In this country too, „Wanted On Voyage“ exceeds the gold limit, the single „Budapest“ has platinum status.
Now the likable exceptional musician has released his eagerly anticipated second album „Staying At Tamara’s“ (Sony Music) in March, even topping the debut’s success, including last year’s Feelgood single „Do not Matter Now“. and with „Paradise“ or „Shotgun“ also the next absolute catchy tunes.
Like on his first album, the songs of „Staying At Tamara’s“ were created – or at least inspired – on the list of places the singer, songwriter and guitarist visited, including the Isle of Skye, one of them Porkfarm in Norfolk, a former corn meal shed in Kent and an AirBnB property in Barcelona (owned by the eponymous Tamara) .The result is a finger-flipping, brass-tastic hair-in-the-wind album that is almost entirely positive but also some muted, thoughtful moments – songs about escapism, dreams, fears and love.
