This year Easter in Poland will be celebrated on Sunday, April 21, as well as in other European countries. Polish Easter “Wielkanoc” is always a very bright and solemn event, as it is one of the main holidays of the year.
And the beautiful annual Krakow Easter market can be an amazing destination, which is popular both with locals and tourists who visit Krakow during the Easter holidays.
At the Old Town Market Square, there are a lot of wooden stalls, which sell various Easter decorations such as Easter eggs, laces, baskets, Easter palms, candles, painted pottery, figurines of lambs and rabbits, dried flowers, wooden toys and many others.
Also there you can try traditional polish street food like Pierogi (dumplings), Kiełbasa (sausages), Oscypek (grilled cheese with cranberries), or Grzaniec Galicyjski (regional hot mulled wine).
In addition to this, you can find lots of sweets and candies at the Market, which makes it a perfect place for kids and any person, who has a sweet tooth.
As you are perhaps already excited, just have a look at the photo gallery to enjoy this magical atmosphere of Krakow. And it may inspire you to visit this city during Easter Holidays next time. All photos and video by @krakowcityguide.
