Art Exhibition at Margutta Veggy Food & Art

14.03.2019 - 11.05.2019

THE EXHIBITION – The movement stops, like moments torn from time, but the legendary art of Pina Bausch, one of the greatest talents of twentieth-century dance, remains. And it pervades every single shot that concerns it. It will open tomorrow, Thursday 14 March, 7 pm vernissage, „Fragments – Tribute to Pina Bausch“ with the photographs of Ninni Romeo. The exhibition, commissioned by Daniele Cipriani, Art supported by Tina Vannini and hosted at the vegetarian restaurant Il Margutta Veggy Food & Art, in Rome, via Margutta 118, is curated by the journalist and photo editor Frédérique Deschamps, with a presentation text signed by the journalist and writer Leonetta Bentivoglio. 44 black and white and color photographs will be exhibited in different print formats, including two portraits of Pina Bausch and images of different shows. It will be open until Saturday 11 May. Free admission.

THE WORKS ON DISPLAY – A temporal journey, ten years after his death, which took place on June 30, 2009, thirty-five years long to discover his personal and professional path. From the Sacre du Printemps of 1975 to the Café Müller of 1978, from Palermo Palermo in 1989 to the Vollmond of 2006. Without neglecting the Bamboo Blues of 2007, inspired by India, and his latest creation,… como el musguito en la piedra, ay yes, yes, yes … of 2009, inspired by Chile. Protagonist of the exhibition not only her, but all her art, made of expression and drama, provocation and elegance. As well as „disorder“, „his“ chaos, which draws inspiration from tradition, respecting and honoring it, to undermine its predictability. Aiming not only at the beauty of the movements, but at their strength and essence.
