Andreas Onea about Water

Andreas Onea is Austrian para-swimmer. During his career, he won, among others, nine silver and bronze medals at World and European Championships. In his third Paralympics participation in Rio 2016, he fulfilled the great dream of a Paralympics medal by winning bronze over 100m chest. After a serious car accident in May 1998, when his left arm was amputated, Onea started swimming as a therapy. He swims for the BSV Weißer Hof and also for the swimming-union Vienna, where he shows that inclusion of para-athletes in the environment of athletes without disabilities is possible. In addition to sports, Onea is studying for an MBA and moderating the ORF programs „Licht ins Dunkel“ and „Ohne Grenzen“.
