The first mention of miraculous water coming from the area of today’s baths dates from the 15th century. These baths were popular with the Turks because the strand was worse and more profitable than the springs on the Buda side.
One of the most beautiful spas in the city is the Gellert Bath and Spa Center, which includes an outdoor pool (swimming pool), a Finnish sauna and a range of other saunas and submersible pools.
The beneficial effects of the Gellért springs have been used for many years. The baths were exposed in the secen style right at the spring. There are also some pools separated by gender. Clients can enjoy the room and relax in the seating, swimming or outdoor swimming pool. A beauty center with a wide range of wellness services is part of the complex.
The baths are supplied from a spring spanning the Gellért hill. Calcium-magnesium-hydrocarbonate water contains sodium, sulfuric acid, chlorides and a large number of fluorides.
