The best short animated films from around the world. Films awarded at international
festivals. A mix of different animation techniques, genres and entertainment. A total of 18 best
animations from 13 countries.
Anishort is an international festival of short animated films, where it competes with
only 18 films of the highest quality from around the world. For this year’s 8th festival, more than
1,600 films from more than 100 countries. The selection of competing films has relatively hard criteria, so the
18 final films are really a selection of the most interesting ones. The films, with an average length of five minutes,
are thematically and genre-diverse, introducing viewers to a variety of animation techniques.
Everyone who attends the screening will have the opportunity to vote for the film that most
appealed to him or her. Every vote matters, as the selected film will receive the festival’s trophy in the
“Audience Award for Best Film” category.
