On Sunday, March 26, it will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the DDM Technician Station in the main City of Prague, the sixth year of the Vynášení Morany aneb Vítání jara
Farewell to winter will take place in the spirit of folk traditions. Art and craft workshops not only with Easter and spring themes will be prepared for visitors. DDM Prague Suchdol has prepared for you the production of flower wreaths, and DDM Prague 6 will help you with the production of a musical instrument for the procession.
A workshop on making a wooden ratchet will then take place in the wood workshop. Workshop capacity is limited and registration takes place on our website in the “Events” section. You can also look forward to baking homemade buns. A workshop with hopscotch will be prepared in the yard for sports lovers.
A rich cultural program will be provided by the band Herky, acrobats with HOPsej.cz, the popular children’s folklore group Makovicky and the theater group Dramec.
At 4 p.m., all participants will go in a procession together with musicians and giant masks along the Vltava to Stromovka. The procession will end with the burning of Morana, who will then be sent back to the underworld by water.
You can also look forward to traditional activities such as the auto track, railway and tram tracks.
