Social Hike Hainburg Wetlands

This absolutely breathtaking route through the easternmost Donau Auen National Park, will lead us from Hainburg (AT) along the Danube main- and sidestreams all the way to Wolfsthal village. Expect calming wetlands, spectacular river views, medieval castles and even walk-through caves hewn into the rocks. Net hiking time on this gem of a trail will be ~3 hours.

After the hike, we’ll jump on a bus back to Petržalka (SK) for a casual group dinner at a local food court. There’s plenty of Slovak/international delicacies at your own taste and budget – or just bring your own food. Don’t forget to have your travel documents with you though!

Tip: To get from Bratislava to Hainburg easiest, take direct Bus 901 at 14:20 from Most SNP station to Hainburg/Donau, Hauptplatz (arriving 14:40). Fare is EUR 2.50/Person. We will meet in Hainburg at our designated meeting point (shared after booking) at 14:45 sharp.

Coming by car is possible too, yet this would entail one extra Bus 901 ride from Petrzalka to Hainburg after dinner to fetch your vehicle (+EUR 2.50).
