Phil Shoenfelt kconcert

27.11.2022

In November, Red Cat Cabaret has prepared another special evening for you – a concert of British singer Phil Shoenfelt.

“The Czech director Michael Baumbruck contacted me saying that he is going to make a film called Pistole, on which he is collaborating with a very interesting person and musician. He felt that the Red Cat Cabaret could be the perfect venue for his solo concert”. Lucia Siposová.

Phil Shoenfelt is a British singer, guitarist, songwriter and writer. In the 70s he was part of the London punk scene. He then went to New York, where he played with post-punk bands such as Disturbed Furniture and Khmer Rouge. In the 1980s he returned to England to support Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds on two UK tours. Later he moved to Prague and put together his own group with former members of the band Tichá Dohoda – Phil Shoenfelt & Southern Cross. They released four albums together. Phil’s latest solo album, Cassandra Lied, will be the main musical theme of the evening. Phil is also the author of four books, has a turbulent life story behind him, excerpts of which will spice up his show at the Red Cat Cabaret.
