The Stranglers are coming to Stockholm after much delay due to COVID-19! Hopefully you did not give up on hope on their live performance. Because we are proud to tell you that on 8th October 2022, they will come!
The Stranglers’ European tour in autumn 2021 has been postponed due to local covid restrictions in some countries. The tour, which is a tribute to Dave Greenfield, the band’s legendary keyboardist who died in covid in 2020, will instead take place in October 2022.
There will be three shows in Sweden during the “European Tour 2022”: Malmö 6 October at Plan B, Gothenburg 7 October at Trädgårn and Stockholm 8 October at Berns (NB! new venue).
The Stranglers have confirmed that this will be their last tour in the larger format. They promise to cover songs from their extensive catalogue spanning 46 years as well as from their new, critically acclaimed album, “Dark Matters”. You can expect hits like Peaches, No More Heroes and Walk On By as well as Always The Sun, Strange Little Girl and Golden Brown.
The group formed in the mid-1970s as the Guildford Stranglers. Since then they have had 23 Top-40 UK singles, recorded 17 Top-40 albums and are one of the longest surviving bands to have formed on the UK punk scene. Touring band members include Jean-Jacques Burnel, Jim Macaulay, Baz Warne and new keyboardist, Toby Hounsham.
