Danube Rowing and Sailing competition

Another regatta experience on the Danube! Meet your favorites, play sports and cheer together on the first weekend of October! This year, the Danube Regatta will be two days long, on Saturday, professional university rowers and amateur kite sailors will compete for victory, while the evening is for relaxation. The atmosphere is provided by Beton.Hofi, Manuel, Dr Brs & Friends – KKevin, Bruno x Spacc, Viktor Király. On Sunday, in addition to Réka Farkasházi and Tintanyúl, as well as Gergő Rácz, many children’s programs, additional concerts, and even health-preserving and environmentally conscious activities await families.

The Danube Regatta will return to the heart of Budapest at the Műegyetem Quay on October 1-2!
At the Danube Regatta, university kite-boat and rowing teams compete on the most beautiful section of the Danube in Budapest, between the Parliament and the Budapest University of Technology. In addition to the water competitions, a spectacular cheerleader show, countless sports programs and a party of super local performers and DJs await you on land!

In 2022, the rowing competition will be held by invitation with university teams, where we can witness the battle of the best on the waters of the Danube.

The basis of the Regatta experience is still the inter-university kite-boat competition. The kite boat crews, made up of amateur university students, will compete in two races this year, which will be followed by a separate announcement of the results.
