World Music Festival Bratislava – new places, new names, new experiences.

The eighth edition of the world music festival in Bratislava will take place from 17 to 20 August in various locations in the historical centre of Bratislava and will feature musicians not only from Slovakia but also from other countries.

The festival is part of the Bratislava Cultural Summer and offers its fans from Slovakia and abroad a diverse mix of music and top performers from different parts of the world.

At the opening concert, together with the exotic Creole music TI´KANIKI from the island of Reúnion, the popular Slovak band LA3NO CUBANO will perform. 🪘🪘🪘

The concerts in Bratislava’s Klariska will feature top performers to enrich the 3rd weekend of August.

🧡 During the four days of August you can get acquainted with the ethno jazz project LÓPEZ – BARBAS, whose album Atlas led the world music charts, the new Estonian sensation of European stages DUOM RUUT, a traditional stringed instrument from the Far East performed by Korean musician SOONY PARK and the unique group BARRUT, a representative of the fascinating Occitan vocal tradition.

🧡 They will be accompanied by ONDRO A KAMARÁTI, a new discovery of the Slovak scene,
which follows the project K. Pustvopol.

Special concerts will be club DANCE PARTY in Véčko not only for young spectators, featuring FANFARA STATION, an unconventional “brass band combined with electronics, Tunisian rhythms and vocals of the charismatic singer Marzouk Mejri, and ABOUBAKAR TRAORÉ & BALIMA from Burkina Faso, who will bring unadulterated African
energy.

As part of the showcase concerts, Teatro Colorato will present remarkable Slovak projects – the vocal group NEHA! and DIS IS MARKÉTA.
