Wine Wednesdays

If Wednesday then Wine Wednesday at the National Gallery! Special exhibitions, exciting guided tours and lectures, live music, and of course wine tasting await guests every Wednesday evening for the twelfth time. This time, the theme of the wine days  will be based on different contrasts: light and shadow, classical and contemporary, sacred and profane, and joy and sorrow.

The Gallery’s most popular series of events will again this year offer a unique museum program for art and wine lovers.
The invited wineries for the July Wine Wednesdays are the Pannonhalmi Archabbey Winery, the Laposa and Málik Wineries in Badacsony and the Haraszty Winery in Etyek – and Brigitta M. Kocsis, the presenter, will be talking to the representatives of the wineries at this year’s events.

In July, special temporary exhibitions will also be on show: the Gulácsy. Prince of Na’Conxypan, the Lajos Gulácsy Lajos life-work exhibition and the accompanying exhibition of graphic art. Every Wine Wednesday evening, visitors can enjoy guided tours of the Gulácsy exhibition, and on two evenings they can also listen to a lecture on the exhibition by curator Gábor Bellák and art historian Anna Kelen.

Don’t miss the Wine Wednesdays this year either, and enjoy the magnificent panorama from the terrace of the Hungarian National Gallery with a glass or two of wine! And don’t forget: there will be another Wine Wednesday event on 13 and 20 September, with Harsányi and Günzer Wineries invited to the autumn events.
