The Cornamusica ensemble invites you to the concert Renaissance in the Old Town. Bratislava, as the coronation city of Hungarian kings and queens, will once again come alive with spiritual, secular and dance music. At the concert we will present more than twenty period wind instruments, which are faithful copies of the originals, accompanied by lute, guitar and percussion instruments. Wind instruments from the Gothic and Renaissance periods are called Musica Alta, that is, noble music, by the experts of the time. Join us in the mystery of the Renaissance and discover the spirit of Bratislava in a unique combination of music and historical space. Listen to it as it once sounded.
The concert is accompanied by the artistic director of the ensemble Juraj Korec.
Performers:
Juraj Korec – artistic director, shalmai, dulcian, pumort, rauschpfeife, cornammussa, gemshorn, transverse and recorder
