Midsummer Celebrations at Skansen

Experience the best midsummer celebration in Stockholm! At Skansen, Midsummer takes place for three days between 23-25 June, with programs from morning and well into the bright Midsummer night.

Welcome to enjoy music and dance, stroll through the midsummer market, play summery games and visit our houses, farms and animals.

For the midsummer celebration, regular admission or annual pass to Skansen applies. To get into the park faster on June 23, we recommend pre-purchasing a ticket or annual pass on the Skansenbiljett website.

PROGRAM 23-25 June
– Tie midsummer wreaths – for all children!
– Midsummer market
– Raising of the maypole
– Dance and play around the maypole together with Skansen’s folk dance team and Skansen’s fiddlers.
– Listen to the wise old lady who tells you about the beings and forces that work in the bright midsummer time.
– Midsummer music in folk tones with the vocal trio Vanja Modigh.
– Song play at Motjärn with Skansen’s fiddlers.
– Midsummer concert with Lena Willemark and musicians.
– Folk dance in midsummer time
Skansen’s folk dance team dances to music by Skansen’s fiddlers.
– The trio Västanvinden invites you to dance
– Dance modern dance at Galejan with the dance band Sandins on stage.
