The World of Books Prague

The Book World Fair will welcome all lovers of books and literature in mid-June. This year’s 29th edition will have a main focus – “Das Buch”, a project bringing together the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The organizers have prepared a rich program for all age groups, including children, who will have the opportunity to meet various authors of children’s books, illustrators, learn something new or just watch a theatrical performance.
The older ones can choose from professional seminars, conferences, meetings with authors, publishing house presentations, awards for creative achievements and editorial successes.
As always, attendees can purchase books at discounted prices.
We will also engage in activities commemorating the centenary of Kafka’s death.

Kafka’s quote “A book must be an axe for the frozen sea within us” is the motto of the year, which will be the philosophical line of the festival reflecting on the purpose of literature and how it changes our inner life.
