Guided tour of the temporary exhibition Between Heaven and Hell – The Mysterious World of Hieronymus Bosch
This 60-minute guided tour will introduce you to the art of Hieronymus Bosch (c. 1450 – 1516) and the artistic and cultural environment that surrounded him. Why did the painter from the German Low Countries specialise in painting demons, imaginative monsters and fantastic creatures? What message did he want to send to his contemporaries with his special paintings? Although viewing the paintings is a wonderful experience in itself, the guided tours also reveal the main context and help to understand the meaning of symbolic figures and objects that are difficult to interpret.
The programme is recommended for children aged 9 and over.
The guided tour costs 1.000,- HUF/person, which is payable in addition to the entrance fee. The guided tour is limited to 15 visitors.
