This June, all fans of British singer Tom Odell will have the chance to see his live concert at Forum Karlin! This year, he went on tour with his new 2021‘s album Monster where he will introduce his very personal message to the album which reflects hard period of his life – mental problems.
As he says, this album is not only important breakthrough personally but also for him as a musician as he started to experiment more with sound and musical instruments. He started to enjoy more electronic “bedroom pop” sound. This newfound love of diy electronic pop resulted into the fact the songs were mostly made with the instruments he had on hand, like moog synths and more. That was a move backed by both necessity and a desire to explore. Although his new music is occasionally grittier, there’s still a lightness to it that allows odell to pull off pop’s greatest trick – hiding the sadness in the melodies. This new music thus marks the beginning of the second chapter of his musical journey.
