Radio Trastevere Gallery opens to the public with a cycle of four pop up exhibitions: Fuori Catalogo. Radio Trastevere Gallery opens to the public with a cycle of four pop up exhibitions Fuori Catalogo. On Friday, March 25, 2022, at 6 pm, Radio Trastevere Gallery, the new space in Rome dedicated to contemporary art, opens with a series of four pop up exhibitions entitled “Fuori Catalogo. Wandering Pop Up Art Exhibition”.
Protagonists of the exhibition cycle will be the artists Maria Donata Papadia, Manuele Geromini, Sabrina Poli and Sant’Era who, through different artistic languages, will focus on the return to the values of dialogue and confrontation between human beings, elements that have always nourished body and soul.
The project, born from the creative mind of Barbara Braghittoni, has as its objective a research and reflection on themselves, without limiting itself to an immersion in art. Each of the artists will decline this theme according to a new language, made of signs and images, to remind the observer to live love, beauty and friendship with always renewed energy.
To open the series of exhibitions will be Melk, from March 25 to 31, 2022, the painter, set designer and designer Maria Donata Papadia, who lives and works in Amsterdam with a thirty-year career to her credit. The artist in Melk offers a selection of Flowers in tetrapak and Breasts, made of plaster with the technique of the cast.
Works that are offered as a means of carrying lifeblood, concealing an erotic and sensual feeling. The primary needs related to nutrition and care bring us back to the comparison with the elements of nature, such as flowers, inspired by the book “Flowers and their messages” (The Mother Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry).
The second exhibition, scheduled from April 22 to 28, 2022, entitled Polaroid, presents the shots of Manuele Geromini, fashion and portrait photographer who currently lives and works in France. In his rich professional career, he has collaborated with numerous world-famous magazines such as Vogue, Le Monde, Interview and GQ.
In Polaroid, through the famous instant camera, Geromini molds time as matter by fixing the moment in a union between consciousness and reality, inviting us to share. Unlike film, in fact, the Polaroid allows to immediately reveal the magic of the shot.
The third exhibition will take place from May 20 to 26, 2022, and will again feature the artist Maria Donata Papadia with Impronte. In this project Papadia focuses on human figures made starting from the imprint of the body of the models and then working with overlapping hand-colored tissue paper on gauze tarlatana. The imprints arise from the question: “What is the body?”. The perception of the body, not only as a guardian of the human essence, pushes us, thanks to the artist herself, to confront ourselves with the unresolved that is inherent in us and that everyone must learn to recognize in order to evolve.
Last stop on the journey of “Fuori Catalogo. Wandering Pop Up Art Exhibition” will be Santafrika, on display from June 17 to 23, 2022: a photographic project by Sant’Era, fashion and beauty expert who boasts among her collaborations those with John Santilli and Vidal Sasson. The photos, created by the art director and visual designer Sabrina Poli and printed on aluminum in large format, emphasize the contrasts between the north and south of the planet. In fact, the project, realized in Kenya, represents a journey that combines fashion, environment and models from the West and East Africa.
MARIA DONATA PAPADIA
Maria Donata Papadia graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna and began her artistic career collaborating with the Teatro Due Mondi, taking care of the sets and costumes, a synergy that continues to this day. Always in love with the relationship between color, energy and experimentation, for about thirty years she has worked as a painter, set designer, costume designer and color researcher. Manuele Geromini begins to be interested in photography during his university studies, working with an artist from Novara from whom he learned the artistic potential inherent in the discipline of photography. For about ten years he worked in pair with Laura Villa Baroncelli dedicating himself to fashion and portraiture, publishing in magazines such as “Vogue”, “Le Monde”, “Interview”, “GQ”. Since 2016, he has dedicated herself to an aesthetic path devoid of commissions and editorial guidelines. For about two years he has been exhibiting his work by publishing it in art magazines. He lives and works in Pau (France). He has exhibited at Atelier Viandanti, Lugano; Guardia Sanframondi, Festival Vinarie, France; The Ermitage, Jakarta, Indonesia; Espace Clevel, Paris; Biblioteca Casa Professa, Palermo.
Sabrina Poli, art director and visual designer, works in crossmedia communication. During the training, master UDP, she develops photographic projects with the master Luigi Ghirri, the project “Poesie Terapeutiche” with the writer Ermanno Cavazzoni and Gianni Celati. Later he collaborated on design projects with the studio of architect Stefano Giovannoni in Milan. She works for several fashion, design and cosmetic brands including Diego dalla Palma for which she designs the current institutional image. She works full time on visual projects for Accademia Bizantina, Italian excellence in classical baroque music.
Sant’era moves his first steps in the world of fashion and beauty in the eighties, working with leading companies in the field of hair cosmetics. He moved to Rome, where he worked with great masters including John Santilli art director of Vidal Sasson: a fundamental experience to learn the basics and geometry of cutting, anatomy, makeup, styling.
In the nineties he opened his first salon and after a short break he gave life to Sant’era, in Cesenatico: a 20sqm space of color and energy that hosts art exhibitions, product presentations, events for clients, friends and anyone who wants to get closer to his world.
