Playful head

The “Playful Head” exhibition is designed for all curious children who want to explore, investigate and discover the nooks and crannies of the human head. The head is a fascinating organ, the “headquarters” of our body and informs us about everything around us. It is the only place on Earth where a person can be alone with his thoughts, where unique ideas are born that change the world… Children will learn how the head has been portrayed by different artists, how ideas originate in the head, how much the brain weighs and the different names the head has. The exhibition explains what wrinkles are, what we have senses for and also why eyes don’t grow. They can even learn to draw the head. The inspiration for this imaginative exhibition came from a beautiful conceptual book by Czech authors David Böhm and Ondřej Buddeus, Hlava v hlavě (Head in the Head, Labyrint, 2013 & 2020) and both visual and textual parts of the book are used in the exhibition. The exhibition is installed in five rooms and in each room children will learn something new and interesting in an unusual way.
