Carnival in the Castle Garden

The Castle Garden bazaar awaits children and adults with a colourful carnival of experiences and free carnival programmes. There will be a costume contest, delicious doughnuts to taste, unique masks to decorate for craft lovers and even a carnival caricature for those who want one.

Family fun includes a children’s poetry and dance concert entitled “A Little Heart Fits” from 11 am. The performance, based on children’s poems by Krisztián Grecsó and featuring the Csík orchestra, brings the magic of the theatre and the heartbeat of the concert to children. The interactive children’s performance is open to children and their families, from large groups of kindergartners to small schoolchildren, who love singing and poetry.

From 16:00, the older children are invited to a puppet show about the story of Csongor and Tünde. This must-read from Hungarian literature shows in an entertaining way and with the songs of the 30Y band that in the barren earthly Eden, money, knowledge and power do not make you immortal, only “one love” can make you taste the fruit of the golden apple tree of life. Around the tree, Chongor circles dreamily – when he is not actually asleep. And on the concentric circles of his path, he is guided, accompanied and haunted by Elf and Ilma, Mirigy and Night, the devil boys and Arki, humans and puppets.
