We have an invitation for you to a very interesting musical performance.Concert “Vento del Sud” by the Giovanni Seneca Trio.
Music and songs inspired by the different cultures of the Mediterranean and the dialogue between peoples. The show interweaves original compositions and traditional songs that embrace all the Mediterranean cultures in various languages and dialects: Arabic, Ladino, Greek, Serbo-Croatian, Neapolitan, Apulian, Abruzzese and Marche.
In a continuous wandering and mixing of musical suggestions, ideally inspired by the sea and the Mediterranean, different sounds and colours meet.
The protagonists are the voices and strings of the Mediterranean. Of particular interest is the use of the chitarra battente, typical of the southern Italian tradition since the 14th century. The sound of this ancient instrument is unmistakable, diametrically opposed to that of normal guitars and more like a harpsichord or a saxophone.
