Urban Market Christmas Edition

It’s time to get in the right Christmas spirit, support local authors, buy original Christmas gifts and learn something new during the cultural programme – the Christmas edition of the urban market is more than just a purchase. The event will also include a sales exhibition of illustrations by Slovak illustrators, sponsored by ASIL – Association of Illustrators. In addition to Slovak works, the creative scene of the countries from the Visegrad Four region will also be presented during the market.

Every day from 7 December to 21 December 2022, except SATURDAY, we invite you to Christmas shopping! Urban Market in its special winter edition will visit Bratislava’s Old Market Hall in December ✨

Tune in to the right Christmas atmosphere with us and support local authors at the Salonka, an art, design and craft sales salon, which we organize together with the Old Market Hall and BRaK – Bratislava Book Festival.

Urban Market will offer a sales showcase of independent fashion, design and artistic creation in Slovakia within the framework of Salónka.

AJKA
Stylish sweatwear for girls and women. Mom and daughter sweatpants. We create original, timeless and combinable fashion for women who like to dress imaginatively and are not afraid of colours. We design and sew all our dresses in Slovakia, with attention to detail and workmanship.

ALEXA.ART
Costume jewellery to suit your every mood. Made from a polymer material that is lightweight and perfect for jewellery. The surface is painted with alcohol or acrylic paints, and is complemented with jewellery components, brass, glass, gold or silver leaf, beads or dried flowers. The clasp is mainly made of surgical steel or brass. I treat the surface with UV resin, which adds a beautiful shine.

BAGBET
Bagbet is a design studio that focuses on the treatment of textile waste.

BARBORA KASÁKOVÁ
BELOVESDE
I create upcycled women’s fashion under the Belovesde label. My work consists in giving life back to older, but also newer, unwanted, donated or other pieces of textiles. There is already enough new in the textile industry, so I mainly focus on upcycling what already exists. Of course, my production also generates other waste, but I try to process it as efficiently as possible. That’s why I also offer extras in the form of scrunchies. People like them and I produce a minimum of waste as a result.

BORA JEWELLERY
I have elevated my passion for jewellery, processing and workmanship, as well as imperfection or raw beauty, to an alchemical art. In my work you will find combinations of traditional and non-traditional materials, processed in different ways. They speak to the soul, awakening long-forgotten stories that are an important part of our lives. They are mysterious, magical… The raw beauty (in) jewellery.

BOTANICANDLE
Handmade scented candles with designer lids. In each one you will find a piece of nature – watered plants and flowers.

BOUNTY BOHO
The Bounty Boho brand was established in 2020. The portfolio includes handmade mineral jewellery and river pearl jewellery (bracelets, necklaces, rings or earrings). Complementary goods are hand-sewn satin rubber bands. All products are made by me in Slovakia and each piece of jewellery is handmade.

BRMBA
Under the brand Brmba you will find hand drawn jewellery with markers, mostly earrings and brooches made of shrink film. Each piece is a hand-drawn original and is unique. In my work you will find a variety of motifs – animals, creatures, oddities and other marker creations. In addition to jewellery, I also do illustrations and graphics (linocuts).

CILA
We create timeless collections for women who care about sustainability and desire a practical wardrobe tailored to their lifestyle. By combining elegance and comfort, we help women feel like themselves. We design items to last as long as possible. We manufacture in local workshops in Slovakia.

COLOMBIANA
ColoMBiana is a sustainable fashion project where we produce eco-friendly jewellery and linen fashion. The material for the jewellery, the exotic fruit La Tagua, is also called plant ivory and grows in the Amazon rainforest of Colombia, where it is harvested and dried for us by indigenous families.

CREATIVE SIST3RS
My name is Veronica and I am the man behind the Creative Sist3rs brand. I sew bags that are not only practical, but also captivate with their imaginative appeal – they delight the eye and soul of the owner. The added value is the respect for the environment. The products are mostly made to order, I do not sew stocks of little things that then find their owners in sales. I make sure to keep waste to a minimum and make the most of it.

CAP
ČAPICA is fresh as a Slovak street. It represents slow fashion in the field of caps and hats with a wooden shield, which is also removable, so you can combine wood with tops. The caps are also made to measure with various finishing options such as engraving, painting or printing.

DULCIA NATURAL
Dulcia natural is a natural cosmetic based on plant and herbal extracts, pure essential oils, precious rose water, aloe vera and fruit. We use the gifts of nature to be your daily source of beauty, harmony and pleasure. Our cosmetics are handmade in small quantities to maintain the highest quality and efficacy.

DIOBO
Whether it’s summer or winter, adventure awaits around the corner! Diobo is a brand not only for children, but also for big kids who believe in living life to the fullest. Diobo loves colours and never misses an opportunity to invent its own designs that make the brand unique.

KATYA DYZAJN
I make magical suitcases for children that develop their imagination and motor skills, as well as a variety of sewn toys (including portable cribs, hand toys, etc.). In addition, I sew children’s and adults’ backpacks and model jewelry from polymer clay.

LIQOIL
Liqoil is Slovak natural cosmetics. In the product portfolio you will find only natural and certified products for skin, body and hair care. The knowledge of natural substances and their effects in cooperation with the creativity of biotechnologists are the building material of every new product from LIQOIL. We are committed to ensuring that our cosmetics are created in a process that is kind to nature and animals, and that they also have beneficial effects.
