Lupa Lake

If you haven’t had the chance yet, you should definitely visit Lupa Lake this summer, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the city. With its white sandy, palm tree-lined shore and crystal-clear turquoise water, it really stands out among the waterside places. With a variety of gastronomic promenades, clubs and professional sports fields (both on the beach and on the water), it awaits those who want to relax this year. What’s more, the beach is located in the northern part of Budapest, on the border of Budakeszi, equipped with a children’s beach, a wakeboard course and a fishing center as well.

Accessibility: Lake Lupa has an exceptionally advantageous location. It is located on the border of the capital, in the heart of the northern Buda agglomeration, just 1 km from the Buda access section of the M0 highway Megyeri bridge, and the intersection of road 11 connecting Budapest-Szentendre. The location, located 10 km from the Buda bridgehead of the Árpád bridge, can be reached: – by car: 12-20 minutes (parking lot next to the beach entrance) – by public transport: (to HÉV – Budakalász station) 17 minutes + 1.8 km on foot. And by the fall of 2020, the new Eurovelo 6 cycle path will be ready, which will take you past Lupa in one section.
