Wine tasting

21.10.2021 - 31.12.2021

On October 21st, SOLID will launch a new series, inviting the best winemakers to the seventh floor of Hotel Rum to show their best wines, including ones you haven’t tasted anywhere else.

For the first time, the guest will be Frigyes Bott, whose wines are on the shelves in the RUM Hotel for a long time. You will also be able to taste wines that are not on the market in Hungary or have not yet appeared on the market at all.

– Frigyes brings 8 different wines for this evening
– The event starts at 5 pm and lasts until 7 pm

THE WINERY
The winery cultivates its nearly ten hectares (approx. 25 acres) of vineyard along the river Garam, 250 meters above sea level on the Hill of Muzsla. This historic wine region is enclosed inside the geographical centre of the triangle formed by the Garam River, the Danube and the southern side of the hills of Muzsla, in what used to be the vineyard of the Cathedral of Esztergom. Its soil is made of volcanic clay, rich in limestone and minerals.

The old desire of the Bott winery has been to bring back their old splendour to the villages situated along the Garam River, to build a well-established winery that rightly reflects the specific characteristics of our wine region, and even more: to transform the area around the confluence of the three rivers, the Garam, the Danube and the Ipoly, into a tourist micro-region. In order to achieve this, besides the wines, it is imperative that the gastronomic culture and tourism policies are built on local traditions using local ingredients and local labour.

Place: SOLID Budapest, Királyi Pál u. 4.
Date: The first wine tasting is on the 21st of October
Entry: 10 000HUF (apx. 28€)
