How can we prepare ourselves for the foreseeable and yet unforeseeable challenges of change? We may need new skills and abilities! We need to redesign our lives and transform the world around us. What starting points do we need when our environment is changing at unprecedented rates? How do we use the opportunities that technology offers to take many burdens off our shoulders? Who or what can we rely on when our attention is fragmented in a stimulus-overloaded environment and when whole new dimensions of personhood and presence emerge?

Every day we are faced with new decision situations, but it is up to us to decide which way the change will turn. The future is more in our hands than we think. By taking control, we can have a safer present and a more predictable and liveable tomorrow.
